Finally!!! The Big Day!

Alrighty! I knew it would come! I've been faithfully opening the little doors on my advent calendar and eating my little chocolates. And here it is! Christmas Day! I slept horribly last night cause I wanted to meet Santa. I heard him, for sure, but he wouldn't come in my room. I even saw where he landed on Paul's roof. There were sleigh marks and everything right outside their bedroom window. If only I could see my roof....

Just like I told him in my letter, he got me the yellow airplane I wanted for my Geo Trax. Thanks, Santa. I got lots of other great stuff- lincoln logs, rc car, hot wheels, trains, a new quilt, a giant Sully, a hippo, and a stocking full of toys and chocolate. Oh, and a new slinky to replace the last one I busted. We spent most of the afternoon at Grandma and Baba's house. Their snow is taller than me!!! We didn't go out to play cause it was just too cold and too much snow. I love Christmas. And, we haven't even been to Daddy's family's Christmas party, yet. Yee haw!

Snowy Days

Here we are on two weeks of being home from school and I'm finding new ways of entertaining myself at home. When it's not too busy snowing outside, we go sledding and eat a lot of snow. When it's dark or too gross out there, I teach myself new things. Like how to jump on the furniture, how to chase Tiki around the house, and how many pairs of glasses I can put on my head. I really like the sledding part but Mommy keeps saying I am getting cabin fever. But, I haven't even been to the cabin since summer... whatever.

I Love Gig Harbor

We packed up and headed out for the other far reaches of Western Washington- Gig Harbor. I love going there. Joslyn, Mo, Mommy, and I drove down to Maggie's cottage for our 3rd Annual Gingerbread House Making Party. We always get to stay up late, eat junk, and play games. My aunties are the best. They sure giggle a lot. I'll let the pictures say it all. Oh, and I hope you are feeling better, Natalee. Thanks for letting me play with all of your toys.

The Show and The Snow

Just so you know, I haven't been to school since Dec 12th. But, let's go back a step. On Dec 12th, I had a lot on my mind. School was crazy cause we were all making last minute adjustments to our big performance that night and the kids and I were a little nuts with excitement. Yeah, that's right, I was in a big Christmas show. I would like to call it "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever." I got to go to Johnny Rockets for dinner with Grandma, Baba, Mommy, Daddy, Heather, Noah, and Joslyn. I love that place. Mommy got me all gussied up in some new handsome clothes and we went back to school (who goes to school on a Friday night???) for me to sing. If you remember from Thanksgiving, I love being on stage and singing. Turns out, I was pretty much the only one that loved it that night. Most of my friends stood there and smiled and I sang my little heart out to the Reindeer Pokey and Jingle Bells. My friend Isaiah was in no mood and he got carted off the stage. I waved a few times but had a BLAST singin those songs. When can we do that again?

Well, like I said, I haven't been back to school since then. It was freezing cold that night and slushy and snowy and wouldn't you know it- it just never stopped. Joslyn packed that weather in her suitcase from Spokane and it sure stayed. She and Daddy and Mommy and I played in the snow the next day and then we went to Gig Harbor..... to be continued....

Tree Hunting

Well, the day after my big camp out, we bundled up and headed out to the far reaches of Western Washington- North Bend. The Biss's got us hooked on this place and now I have to go there to have a candy cane, sit by the campfire, check out the cool old fire truck, and oh yeah- get a tree. They are all so nice and help Daddy put the tree on top of the Jeep. We had to look at every single one and picked the best of the bunch. Now what the heck do we do with it? I have no idea. But, while Daddy was putting it in the dirka ball bucket in the garage and Mommy was toodling around, I stumbled across a huge box of GeoTrax in the closet! I don't know why both of those doors were locked but I saw them and you better believe I started playing with them!! Tree Day was awesome!! Wait, what else was in that closet? I better go back and check.

(Mommy note- yeah, that was the big surprise gift for Christmas. Oops. I thought two locked doors would keep a 3 year old out. Better find a new hiding place.)

Star Chart

Filled up that star chart again.... This time I picked camping in the living room with Daddy as my special deal for being good. I helped him set up the tent and we watched Kung Fu Panda. He got pretty tired and at some point, I helped him get upstairs and into our real beds. Oh yeah, we also played legos. Thanks, Daddy. Anyone got a good suggestion for my next Star Chart reward?

The Guy in Red

I like Santa and I'll tell you why: he smiles a lot, knows my name, wants to talk about toys, and doesn't make me wash my hair or eat all my veggies or sit still very long. I met him and I think we get along well. I also met some of his elves and I tried to give them instructions on how to make GeoTrax so that they will work with Santa to bring me some.

On two seperate occasions, I hung out with Santa. I met him at a fancy time downtown Seattle where Mommy and Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa were there. I also met him on the sly at Bellevue where I really spent more time with his assistants. He was hangin out in his sleigh and I snuck up behind him and waved and reminded him about those GeoTrax. He waved (cause he recognized me from before) and gave me the thumbs up. And asked if I've been good. I hadn't hit anyone that day so I said yes. On that very same day, I met his tin soldiers, snow princesses (bleh), a polar bear, and tackled rudolf. That guy would just not stop to dance with me so I slammed right into him just like I do with Daddy. He didn't fall very much and gave me a nice big hug. How come the kids at preschool don't hug me after I tackle them?
Well, my friend Natalee gets me. She and I danced and tackled those darn rudolfs and polar bears all night. We had a great time playing in the snow and hangin out with our aunties.

The Madness of December

Oh where to start... let's go all the way back to Thanksgiving. I had two Thanksgivings- one at preschool and one at Grandma's house. At preschool, I got a taste of stage fright- and bit it right back. I love singing in front of people! Mrs. Deanna made us some wicked cool turkey hats and taught us a song about something. All I know is I got to do hand signs and sing about boats and stuff. Fun!

The thanksgiving at Grandma's house was much less intense. I pretty much just played a bunch and took a nap and ate a ton of food. Spent time with Grandpa Bob and the fam and ate some more.

To Grandma's House We Go!

Well, I don't have any pictures to add but I just wanted to let you all know that I went on my first solo extended vacation! To Grandma and Baba's house! They picked me up from school on Friday- just in time to skip that pestery old nap time- and kept me for the weekend. I have a nice little list of things I love to do when I visit them and since we had the whole weekend, we got them all in (and then some). Grandma and Baba have a way of making even the most normal things really fun! I went to the clubhouse and got a donut, played on the swings at the park for about 41 hours, went to the train/hobby store, played and played and played with Baba's old trains, played marble game, pool, and every other toy Grandma keeps stashed at her house just for me. Thank you Baba and Grandma for having me over!!!

*side note from Mommy- Breckin went to bed at 6:30 Sunday night (two hours early), slept in til 7 (one hour late), and had to stay home sick on Monday! Way to wear him out Mom!!!

Halloween Night

Alright, Halloween just keeps going. First two pumpkin patch days, then the snack party, then huge trucks with candy and NOW- after a seemingly endless dinner time- trick or treating with Daddy! Finally! Everyone kept telling me I'd get to walk around the 'hood at night and see all my friends walking around and ringing door bells. I've been practicing my very best "Trick or Treat" all week and now it's time to go! However, once I got outside, I didn't see any of my friends. Daddy and I went door to door and all I saw was princesses, ninjas, indiana jones, superheros, and bumble bees. If you were out there, Jonathon or Hope or Isaac, I hope you had fun, too. I got lots of loot that I don't know what to do with and bargaining with Daddy was quite a chore. I'm pretty sure I won, though, cause I got to eat two candies that night. Does this mean I don't get to wear my monkey suit anymore? We might have to talk.......

Candy parties and Big trucks

I love days at school when afternoon snack time consists of jello, cookies, and juice. Whatever this Halloween holiday is all about, I'm in! Everyone wore orange to school and Mommy came during our snack party to take me home early. On the way home, we changed into my monkey suit, grabbed the ol' Thomas candy bucket, and sped off to- da da da DA- Trick or Truck!
What's better than a bunch of candy? A bunch of huge trucks that give you a bunch of candy!!! I could hardly contain myself and had to do some victory dances when I saw that I got to drive the huge trucks. The best part? Oh yeah, that'd have to be when I got to drive the giant dump truck and the driver- we'll call him Bob the Builder- let me tip up the big dumper! Whaaaat? I know, that's what I said, too! I think that or the garbage truck were my favorite. What's your favorite kind of truck? Check out the pictures and let me know....

This is Halloween!

I LOVE Jack the Pumpkin King and anything that has to do with pumpkins, for that matter. I loved pumpkins so much when I went with my school to Maris Farms that I brought my whole family back so they could have as much fun as I did. I'm pretty sure my mission was accomplished cause Daddy got to ride a monster truck and Mommy got to jump with me on the biggest pillow I've ever seen. Hey, aren't there supposed to be a whole mob of people that go pumpkin picking with us? Yeah, I'm talkin to you: Bobby, Aaron, Mo, Maggie, and Natalee. What gives? Courtney was the only trooper this year and I think we ran her ragged with train rides, monster trucks, the jumpy pillow, tractor driving, wheel barrow racing, slides, bouncy houses, and- oh yeah- pumpkins. Good times.

Preschool at the Pumpkin Farm

Well, I'm not potty trained. Because of that small, insignificant fact, I could not ride on the bus to the pumpkin farm with my class. That's ok cause Mommy took me in our car and I still had a rockin' good time. It was fun to see Austin, Ty, Ethan, Sophia, Peyton, Mylie, and all of my preschool buddies outside of the school. We drove out to the middle of nowhere (Buckley) and went to a fantastic farm. I got to see baby animals, ride a hay wagon, go through a corn maze, pump water, and check out a monster truck. Mommy and I liked it so much that we are going back next weekend and taking Daddy and our friends. However, at the end of this field trip, I was exhausted. I fell asleep in the car on the way back to school and Miss Deanna said I slept about three hours at school. Mommy says we should go to the pumpkin farm more often..... Go Halloween!!

Spokane

I officially went on my first, super-long road trip. The kind where you have to get out in Ellensburg and do a bunch of stretches by the gas station and put on your pajamas for the second half of the drive. Wait, second half? It took forever to get to Ellensburg and there's a second half???? Spokane was really far away. I stayed awake until the last town I asked about was Spangler then decided it was all tooooo much and fell asleep.

It was all worth it cause we went to see my friend Joslyn. It's her birthday and she had a party. But, first, I got to meet her friend Ryan and his fun kids, Bailey and Faith. We went to a pumpkin festival, rode on a Wiggle Worm, played on swings, wandered through orchards, and climbed on rocks. I really liked Spokane. That night, we all hung out at Ryan's house and I got to have a slumber party in Bailey's room. It was a fun weekend except for when we had to drive back. Washington is too big.

<------------ Check out my pictures from Spokane (and other places) over there

Duck Feet

Well, that was it for the sun, huh? That's ok. Today we went snazzy boot shopping so that I could hang out outside when it rains and not get soggy sockys. I forgot how much I love having snazzy boots. I picked out a pair that are even better than last years- bright orange and shaped like duck feet!!! They are super comfy and although Mommy told me they were waterproof, I had to test them out. Fortunately, it rained all day today so there were some awesome puddles around the neighborhood and I showed Mommy just how waterproof those duck feet really are! Now, if I could just get some waterproof sweats....

Last Sunny Day

Well, just when I thought things were going to be all fall-like around here, we had one more day of sunshine. After dinner, I convinced Mommy and Daddy to get the croquet game out again and play outside. The sunshine was sure ready to go to bed, though, cause we didn't get to play very long. But, and I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, when Daddy and I play higher outside, I can get thrown in the air a whole lot higher than when we're inside! That was super fun!!! Let's do that again, Daddy!

Monkey Suit

So, I know I haven't been updating in a while but after that crazy summer, I've been too tired to do any more fun things. But, now that it's Halloween time, I'm BACK!!! Mommy has been asking me all the time about what I want to be for Halloween! What does that even mean, I thought? Aren't I going to be me? But I've been through the stores and now I know.... I get pick out a silly outfit and wear it whenever I want! I picked a monkey suit. And, like I said, I wear it whenever I want. It's always monkey suit time. Hey, why wear something so cool only one day a year????

Today we got the pumpkin stuff out and decorated the porch. And the leaves are all turning colors and I love to yell the new colors out whenever I see them. And, there's a farm on the way to school and I can see those big, real pumpkins growing in the dirt and I can't wait til it's our turn to go pick one out!!!

Fair Time!!!

I have been waiting all summer for this day! The grand poo-bah of festivals! The Pooyallyup Fair! I have a list of things that must be done at the fair and we got them all in. Mommy and I headed down while Daddy and Bobby watched more football- they don't seem to like it very much, they are always mad at those guys. Anyway, we met up with Mo and her friend Gavin and his mommy. I really like Gavin! He is older than me and showed me how to be brave on the big kid rides. We did the train, airplanes, canoes, swings, and race cars. After that, we had some fair food, hopped on the fire trucks, and went to check out the baby animals. I got to hold and pet the rabbit and feed the sheep. I saw baby ducks!!! I love the fair more than anything and had a great time. I could have done without walking through the big, loud place with all the booths but my aunties just kept feeding me french fries and lemonade so it wasn't so bad. On the way out, Debbie and Susie and Mo and I drove some tractors. Complete Success!!! Sorry you missed it dad, hope the football was better this time....

Baby Biss!

My friends Tim and Heather have a guy littler than me. He came to pick me up at school and have dinner at my house and have a slumber party with me. I really liked the dinner part and when I got to throw him in the back of my new truck to go for a ride. But, when I got tired and wanted to hang out with Mommy and Daddy, I was ready for Baby Biss to get the heck outta here. His guitar was real cool and he was good at sharing it but I didn't really want to share with him. Don't get me wrong, I really like him, but sometimes a guy needs his space. Guess what? He was there again at breakfast. I liked that part, he's funny when he eats. We had a good time playing but when his daddy came to get him, I kinda lost it. And tipped him right off my bus. Sorry, Noah. Wanna come back?

Daddy's Party

Daddy had a birthday. Last November. I don't know why we decided to have a party now but we did and I got to wear a bunch of cool necklaces and all my friends came. We had yummy hot dogs and ran around a lot. Grandma and Baba came and Uncle G came and lots of people were here. I went to bed like a good boy but I think I heard Daddy snoring outside my window. He must have been real tired. Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

The Man Under My House

I don't know why Matt went under my house but he and Mitch crawled through the hole in the floor. I did not see then come back up out of there but I heard them talking on the talkie talkies. They might still be down there. I keep asking them when I see them in their yards if they are still down there. The whole thing kinda bothers me.

The BIGGEST Beach

Well- It's official. I've seen the biggest beach EVER! Mommy, Daddy, Tiki, and I went to Long Beach WA the first weekend in August and I loved it!!!! Finally- Mommy and Daddy had nowhere to go, no errands to run, no silly shows to watch, and no one could call them. All we did from Thursday night through Monday morning is run around on the sand, play at the Funland arcade, and wander around town. If we got tired, we took naps. If we got sick of the wind, we went in and watched movies. We got sandy all the time and ate french fries and yummy "camping" food all weekend. This was my favorite weekend ever! Tiki didn't like the water as much as I did and I couldn't figure out why we had to wear sweatshirts with our swimsuits. Anyone else see a problem here? Mommy says it's because we have "Washington beaches"- whatever that means. I hope you like all of the pictures (again, click on the pictures link on the right). Maybe next time we go it will actually be warm!

Enumclaw Street Fair- July 26th

I didn't realize how much I actually did today until I started to tell Bobby about it tonight. Carolyn and Jonathan invited us to the newest festival in town. We started early so we could get it all done! Here's the list of what we did: Bouncy house, Fire truck slide, BIG Obstacle Course, Pony rides, Train ride, drove a fire truck and ambulance, Jonathan got his face painted, walked around the shops, saw a McQueen and Snot Rod race car, ate lunch, played at the playground, walked back through the shops, did the fire truck slide one more time, headed home. PHEW! It was a big day and I only lost my cool once! I was hungry!!!!
I think my favorite part was the fire trucks. I got to drive the ambulance and wear the big earphones just like an EMT. I also got to try on a real fireman's boots, pants, and jacket. AND, he gave me a fireman hat! Jonathan turned the siren on and it was so loud, it scared Baby Addison. I loved climbing all over the seats and checking out all the tools and ladders.
I hope Jonathan had as much fun as me. This might have been my favorite festival so far.... I told Mommy we need to keep finding festivals just so I can be sure...

Happy Birthday Baby Noah!!

Well, right after the Thomas event, we zoomed off to Issaquah for Noah's 1st Birthday Party. As usual, his mommy and daddy went big and had a whole playground with a ball pit, baseball bats, tunnels, and bean bag games. Oh, I almost forgot, my friend Joslyn was in town and slumber partied at my house!!! So, of course, she was there. A lot of other people were there, too, but I had no idea who they were.
It was a really fun party but I was so funned out that instead of telling Mommy or Daddy that I was tired, I bopped another girl on the head in the ball pit and ended up going home. Daddy knew I wanted a nap right away so he picked me up and marched me right to the car. Thanks, Daddy! Sorry I missed your cake, Noah, we can always have cake another day. I'd love to help you smash it in your hair again!

Day out with Thomas- July 20th

This is the day I've been waiting for all year! THOMAS!!! It was just like I remembered. I got to give my ticket to the conductor and hear him yell All Aboard! We rode on Clarabel down the tracks, past a bunch of trains in the yard, and over the big waterfall. What a great ride!

Back at the station, I got to walk on real train tracks, play with all sorts of Thomas trains, and meet Sir Topham Hatt. Mommy and Daddy let me play for a long time with some trains I've never seen- Daisy, Topham Hatt's car, Duke, and Lady. I was such a good listener that I got to pick out a new train station for my tracks at home- it has lights and Sir Topham Hatt says stuff to me! I love this day and hope to come back again next year!

When Daddy's away.....

Mommy and I will play! Daddy went to Che-lee-la for golfing so Mommy and I carried on with summer stuff- this time with no plans. Friday night we went to the Kent Festival. It was ok but by the time we got there, all of the shops were closing and our friends weren't there yet. We played a bit on the rocks and in the fountain at Kent Station but we never found rides or a park. Definitely not my favorite festival. But, hey, I got to stay up late and eventually my friend, Natalee, showed up so that made it worth it!!!

The next day, Mommy and I cleaned the house so I stayed in my jammies all day and helped with the laundry. I had the most fun sitting in the bin and tipping over backwards. SO FUN!!! Mommy let me make our lemonade for lunch and I love to stir!!! Pretty good weekend, I'd say!

4th of July

Everyone kept telling me about the fireworks party we were going to have and I had to wait ALL DAY for it to start. After my snooze, FINALLY everyone got together in the street for a BBQ and playtime. But, where the heck were the fireworks? I looked up in the sky and all I saw was the sun! Grandma, Baba, and Grandpa Bob came for a while and brought me some Care Bears and it wasn't until after they left, I got in my jammies, the sun went to bed, and I got in the clubhouse (back of the car) that the real show started.

Daddy, Bobby, Matt, Paul, Chad, my friends, and our mommies blew stuff up for a long time. I didn't like the noisy ones but Bobby had some really big, pretty ones that made green stars in the sky. My favorite!! We had a firepit with marshmallows, sparklers (no THANK YOU, Mommy!!!), and lots of fresh fruit. I stayed up really late and finally got to see what all the fuss was about. I guess it was pretty cool.

BBQ at Lucy's House (with Clark and Andi)

So, the day after the Strawberry Festival, we went to Andrea and Clark's house for playtime in their doggy's pool. Of course, the first thing I had to check on when I got there was the toy situation. I asked Andi right away if she had anything to play with and- da da da da!- she did! She got me a new airplane from the other Washington and it has the coolest noise and lights! Way to go Andi!!!!

We brought Tiki with us and she and Lucy chased each other for so long, our poor Tiki girl was worn out after only fifteen minutes. They ran all over the backyard and under the deck- it made me tired just to watch them! Andi's friend helped me make mud pies in the yard and everyone had a really good time. I love Clark and Andi.

Strawberry Festival June 28th

Mommy and I went to the Strawberry Festival and guess what? They had the same water pump from the animal farm! I knew this place was going to be a success!!! And, after I did more water pumps, mini-golf, hammer slam game, and played all over the park, I knew I was right!

It was hot so I lasted as long as I could but we moved pretty quick through the golfing and truck driving and playing on the playground so I could get to the best part- the water park! There were animal statues all over the blue ground that shot water out. And, Mommy says because the water park was kinda broken, you never knew when it was going to shoot out at you! It was so nice to get sprayed. My favorite part was a big, black ball that I could spin and water came out of the bottom and cooled off my feet. We stayed and played so long that I fell asleep in the car before we even left the parking lot. Hey- How come we never found any strawberries at the Strawberry Festival?!?!?! What's up with that?

NW Trek with the Friedmans

On Sunday, after I had already spent time with the farm animals, we went to another kind of park... a wildlife park! And, we took my friend Jonathan and his mommy, daddy, and baby sister with us. This time, there were no cows or rabbit poop.... there was Moose! And bears and elk and eagles and mountain goats and bison and raccoons. And cougars... Go COUGS! We drove a long long long way (to Eatonville), got in the gate, and immediately ran for the tram ride. I LOVED the tram ride. It's just like a train-bus and I got to stick my head out the window- I tried to touch a bison but mommy said no-no-no-no-no-no. I just wanted to pet it and it was right up against my window. There were so many animals... After the tram ride, we walked around for a while, paid a lot of money for not a lot of lunch, and then went to find more animals. Jonathan and I could have cared less about the bears and wolves and lynx cause all they did was sleep in the sunshine. But, the raccoon was funny! He was lying on his back and making silly faces and stretching his arms all over the place- kinda like Daddy when he wakes up!
On our way out, we went through something called Slugfest. There was bubbles, people dressed up like slugs, and lots of yellow slugs everywhere! I got to plant some marigolds cause slugs like them so much. I even got to scoop the dirt and do the water bottle part. But, I was getting worn out so after that, we all left. Funny... it didn't take very long to get home. We got in the car and POOF I was home and in my bed for a nap... must have been a time warp. This might be my new favorite park!

And now.... Today! Kelsey Creek Park

This morning I went to one of my favorite places. If you've never been to the animal park in Bellevue, Kelsey Creek Farm, you should really go. It's so big!!! I got to see my favorite farm animals- cows. But, let's get real, the biggest highlight of the day (Mommy says thanks so much, Heather and Tim) was seeing the rabbit poop! I read all about rabbit poop in my favorite bedtime story "Who Pooped in the Park." I know all about how to find the footprints and can tell whose poop is who's just by looking at it. I love that book. After we saw all the animals, we went down the hill, crossed three bridges over the creek, and played on the swings and seesaw. Oh! I also got to pump water with a real old-school water pump. I loved that! Mommy says I spent forever looking inside to figure out how it works. If anyone knows how it works, I'd like a book on that, too. I love gears and pumps and pistons and stuff. SO COOL!

I'm pretty sure I took a good nap today, too. Mommy sure knows how to wear me out!

Last weekend- Festival and Parade

Saturday morning, after I slept til 8:30, we went back over to get Jonathan and went to the parade. I am a seasoned pro at parades. We went to this last year so I knew all about the fire trucks, tractors, police men, horses, dogs, bikes, and cool cars. We watched part of it and convinced Mommy to bail early so we could get a good seat on the train ride. Jonathan and I got lots of candy from the parade people and headed out to the festival. We got the best seats on the train ride- the caboose! We also did pony rides, watched the big people go around and around on the ring of fire, played on the slides, checked out the old cars, watched the fire truck drive through the festival, and got bummed out cause the blow-up slide was broken. It wasa busy day! I lost my mind for a while so Mommy walked us back to the car and we went to McDonalds for lunch. Man, I took a good nap that day. Thanks for comin with us, Jonathan!

P.S. We got Kung Fu Panda toys at McDonalds... sooooo COOOOLLLL! I'm still the monkey!

Last weekend- Movie Night!

Have you ever stayed up past when the sun goes to bed and then started watching a movie? I did! Mommy fed me dinner on Friday night, got me ready for bed, then- get this- we got in the car and went to the drive-in! WHAT?!?!?! Kids can do things like this? Why have we not done this before? Mommy and I went over and got Carolyn and Jonathan, piled them in the car, and took off for Auburn. I'm not sure why but Mommy and Carolyn kept looking at each other and shrugged their shoulders and declared themselves the best mommies on the planet and gave us more cookies and popcorn. And pretzels and candies. And juice. Whenever we wanted it! Then, about two hours past my bedtime, the movie started. We watched Kung Fu Panda. Jonathan got to be the panda, I was the monkey, Mommy was the snake, and Carolyn was the tiger. It was a really good movie. Anyone remember how it ended? Jonathan and I gave up somewhere in the middle. Let's do that again!!! I like staying up til the middle of the night and eating a bunch of junk. Go Mommy!

Last weekend- The BBQ

Well, last weekend was something to do with farfs. I don't know why everyone kept telling me to say Happy Farf Day to daddy and baba but they sure did. So, I said it. It was really fun for me, though, cause guess who came to my school and had hot dogs with me? Baba and mommy! I've never seen Baba show up in my classroom for lunch before so I gave him a tour of my favorite toys and took him out to the playground. He saw how I go down the topsy-turvy slide and he joined in when my friends and I raced around the playground. He had to go back home but I got to stay the night at his house the next day so it was ok. Happy Farf Day!

Bigger Boy

I want to do everything by myself. I'm pretty sure I can. Here's proof. I can pull up my own pull-ups. And they're mostly in the right spot... I can pull off my shirt and pull down my pants, as long as they don't have buttons or snaps. I can take off my shoes, socks, towels, hats, glasses, and bandaids and throw them all really far. I can get in all of my chairs- car and table, and buckle myself in. I'm trying to tell Mommy I don't need buckles anymore and she made a boohoo face cause my knees hit the bottom of the table when I scoot in. Stairs are a breeze- even when I don't hold the handrail. I can let Tiki in and out of her crate and the backyard. I can take out the garbage, pull weeds, water the flowers, and scream/talk to Daddy while he mows. Why can't I mow yet? I really like working in the yard. I also really like being 3 years old cause "poof" overnight I can do bigger boy things that 2 year olds can't do. And, if I can't do something, I can always stomp my feet and yell "I can do it" and Mommy at least lets me try. Just wanted you all to know that I can do pretty much everything. Hey Daddy, what about those saws and stuff? I can do it!

The cool thing to do when you're sick

My new favorite thing to do when I just can't handle being silly anymore is playdoh. I love sorting out the colors (thanks for the Costco pack, Carolyn!), making spaghetti, rolling it into burritos, and squishing it in the tubes. The best time for playdoh is right after breakfast when I'm still a little sleepy. One day, I did playdoh right from the end of breakfast all the way through snack and smack into lunch time! Also, moon sand is cool cause it's just like beach sand. Mommy says it's a "sometimes toy" cause it falls on the floor a lot. Maybe Tiki could just eat it like she does the rest of my crumbs?!?!?

More birthdays!!!

My cousin, Rachel, had a birthday party, too. She turned 4. I had a lot of fun picking out her present cause we never go down the aisle with all of the pink stuff in it. They have some neat stuff down there! They have cars, animals, slides, and swimming pools! I don't really get all of the dolls and feathery things that go with them but I picked out a sweet orange and pink car for Rachel.

At her party, we played with animals and cars and animals and pets. She really likes doggies and kitties! Fortunately, she had a big bin of cars and trucks to play with so I said, let's do that instead of all these animals. Plus, we had cake. I'm really starting to like birthdays. Mommy says we're kinda runnin' low on birthday parties until July when Baby Biss turns 1. Look out, Noah- you better have cake! Anyway, I had fun playing with my cousins. Even when they kissed me.

Catchin up Part 2: favorite foods

So, in case you weren't sure, my favorite foods are chocolate and fruit. Namely, chocolate donuts with sprinkles and anything fresh and juicy in the produce department. Somehow, I convinced Mommy to buy some donuts from the grocery store when we were there and oh the joy! I love eating chocolate donuts! Also, she was excited cause the fruits were on sale so we picked out some plums, donut peaches (never had 'em but they have to be good with a name like that), cherries, and pears. I still can't figure out why Mommy likes to take pictures of me eating but I sure enjoyed the food!

Catchin' Up Part 1: Jonathan's Birthday

My buddy Jonathan turned 5! He had the coolest party- all we did was bounce and jump and slide and bounce. I got to "climb" (read: Mommy carried me up with one arm while pulling herself up a rope with the other) some HUGE bouncy ladders and jump my way to the topsy-turvy slide and SHOOT down the slide! Plus, there was a carousel room where "Johnson" and I could chase each other around while bouncing. Mommy and Jamie and Paul and Matt bounced with me and Paul even carried me up the steepest, scariest ladder when no one else would. Go Paul! Happy Birthday, Jonathan! Cool party!

Squirt guns are fun

So, I guess the whole neighborhood got the memo on the nice weather cause when I got home from school on Friday, we hurried up back into some swim shorts and ran outside. Mommy and Daddy blew up a really cool swimming pool with a slide and Jonathon and I played and played. Daddy and Matt and Paul pretended to wash their cars and lawns but really they started a big squirt gun battle. I really like helping Mommy do water balloons and throw them at the driveway. Phew. If this is summer, I like it. Mommy says she likes it to cause I always sleep really well when we do fun, water stuff. Rock on, Mommy!

Beach Baby

I'm pretty sure it's summer. It was so nice out on Thursday that I wore shorts to school. Mommy raced over to get me, drove home, threw Granny in the car along with some pb&j sandwiches, and ran to the beach. Now, I've never been to the beach before and I think the sea is really awesome. It took me a while to stick my toes in but once I did, I was not getting out! I loved splashing and building sand castles and digging in the mud.

After my toes darn near froze off, we dried up, did a face plant in the sand, and walked over to the grass to have dinner (round 2) with Mo, Dump Truck Debbie, and Maggie. And Daddy and Aaron showed up, too. I love the beach!

Wait. There's another birthday?

I totally don't get it. I had the biggest party I've ever seen. That was my birthday, right? I thought so, too. Mommy said Sunday was my real, actual birthday. But there was no party. And, mommy said she could relax and play trains with me and made daddy do breakfast, run the show, and snooze time. I thought maybe it was her birthday, too, but daddy said it was just Mother's Day. I'm so confused. Anyway, I liked having a quiet day cause I could just play and play and take stuff out of packaging and play. I got Fireman Sam's truck and a real Fireman Sam guy! Plus, I got all of his tools and gear! I guess maybe I'm the new Fireman Sam?!?!? My Aunt Joswin got me something called kicks. I guess they are cause I can sure kick a lot of stuff when I wear them and everyone laughs at me. One question. Who the heck is Chuck Taylor? A new train?
Oh yeah. I went to the "jungle" (Rainforest Cafe, for those wondering) for dinner. My Fav! I got to make a penny, feed the alligator daddy's monies, and hear the elephants and monkeys make a ton of noise. Loved it. Hey Bobby- Volcaaaaaano!

I'm 3!!!

Ok, I have to keep this one short because the day was soooooo long, it wore me out. I don't know how those people I call mommy and daddy expect me to handle eating hot dogs, cake, and fruit then play in my giant trains then open a ton of presents then play with my friends then sing then CRASH. I couldn't hang... I had to stop the madness. Nap time was a must-have event- I don't care that it was right in the middle of opening stuff. I was DONE!

I had a really fun day and was so excited to see everyone- especially Colby, my day care friend that switched schools and Joslyn, my original best friend who had so much fun she stayed the night at my house.

I don't really like admitting that I'm 3 cause I might have to stop doing 2 stuff. So, if you ask me and I don't feel like being 3 at that moment, I'll just tell you I'm 2. No worries.

Friday Fun!

I got a real kitchen! Ok, so the water doesn't come out of the sink and mommy never yells at me to "back away from the oven this minute or you'll end up missing fingers!" But, it's just my size and I've gotten really good at making chili in my coffee pot and serving non-existent pizza to everyone that comes upstairs.
On Friday at school, my mommy came and had tea time with me. Something about telling our mommies thank you for taking good care of us... All I know is I got to have yummy raspberry cookies and strawberries BEFORE lunch! Anything we celebrate where we have dessert first is my favorite holiday! My mommy was the silliest because she climbed up the playground in her "work" clothes (whatever that means) and went down the slide with me, Cameron, Kylie, and Marissa. I like tea parties like this. I just don't want anything to do with the princess toys Marissa is always trying to get me to play with....

Go M's!

I went to a baseball game! I saw the Moose, ate hot dogs, ran up and down the stairs, and played on the biggest jungle gym I've ever seen! I saw Andi, Clark, Daddy, and Bull! I got to meet the moose and get my picture with him and Daddy and I shared a big ice cream. I guess Andi and I have the same birthday cause I said Happy Birthday to her and she said Happy Birthday to me. I got to stay up so late- I didn't go to bed until 10!!! I really hope I can go back soon. I think I like baseball- especially the jungle gym part.

Fire Alarms

This is a message for all of the Fireman Sams out there. Please turn down the volume on the fire alarms. We had a fire practice at school and heard some alarms today when someone challenged the train right outside my school and those alarms are really loud. They hurt my ears. It makes me upset and nervous and I don't know what to do. Miss Jessie holds my hand and I really like it when the firemen come and the trucks come but the alarms need to go! Too loud!

Cinco de Mayo... and the last three weeks

Ok, so I don't have pictures. I was way too busy to get pictures. I went to Yakima last weekend to get my granny and bring her to my house. We drove over Friday night after dinner and even though I was really sweepy, I stayed up for a while when we got there... Granny got me new trains and McQueens! I didn't let go of them for the whole weekend. Rocky is my new fav!

Last night, we had a party in the street again. Mommy and her friends made tacos, nachos, fruits, and brownies and we sat on the curb (actually, I sat IN the curb, right in the dirt) and ate dinner. Someone made a pinata and held it up for us to use for baseball practice. I got to swing first cause I listened best (quick, someone make note of that). After the whole line of big kids tried, it finally broke open and we got CANDY! Between running around the park, eating candy, playing soccer, blowing bubbles, eating nachos, eating candy, interrupting dirka ball, hitting things with the baseball bat, and eating candy... I celebrated Cinco de Mayo in style!

I promise to get pictures up soon.
Hope to see you all at my birthday party this weekend!

Dirt and Fire Trucks

Last weekend was way fun. Friday after school, my friend Hope got to come over to my house for playtime and snack. After we did the slides at the park, had some string cheese, and played trains, mommy said it was fine to go check out the newest dirt pile right next to my house. We shoveled and scooped and even got to see the big front loader up close!

Then, on Saturday, Daddy got a whole bunch of musical instruments that I can play! I really like to do the drums and daddy does the guitar. His friends all come over and they are in a band! Bobby or daddy sings. Really loud. We're pretty good and are talking about a tour.

To round the weekend out, we went to the french fries store on Sunday and Fireman Sam was there! I got to sit in the truck and all of the sirens went off. I wasn't so sure I liked those- they were very loud. The big white ladder went up and up and up. I really liked the yellow fire truck the best. Plus, Baby Biss and Tim and Heather were there. Tim really wished he could drive the fire truck like I did. Maybe next time, Tim.

Catchin' Up

I play soccer. Well, I go to the park on Saturdays wearing my armadillo legs and follow the ball (sometimes) from one colored flag to another. Like I said, I play soccer. I'm ready for the MLS. I can run faster than mommy and sometimes I throw the team for a loop by dodging the game altogether and chasing after the ducks on the baseball field next door.

Also, I build birdhouses. I can do the screwdriver, hammer, and sawing all by myself. The very instant I get it together, it is imperative that I take it apart. The very instant that I take it apart, I need to put it back together. It's a constant building process at my workbench. I always have a job to do! Just call me Breckin the Builder!

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

So, let me tell you about bowling and dancing. Daddy likes to play bowling in the living room with the white buttons and mommy like to dance in the kitchen while she cooks the dinner. I think it's hilarious! I think daddy bowls better when he carries me with him. Sometimes we say Yes! and sometimes we say Oh Poop! Both make me giggle.

Mommy listens to Dan Zanes- my favorite song is elephants. And skip to my lou. And the babadoowop song. And Old Joe Clark. Actually, I like all of them. I love to dance with mommy- the faster we spin, the better! If you've never danced in the kitchen or bowled in the living room, you should really try it.

Easter, Grandpa Bob, and Tools. Oh my!

Finally! It's not too cold to go outside and I take every chance I get. I can see the playground from my playroom window and anytime I see the toddler squad on the slides, Mommy or Daddy takes me out! We had a BIG block party (I wonder why there wasn't any blocks) and for some crazy reason, the mommies and daddies drove their cars to the middle of the street so no one else could use the road and we got to drive our trikes all over the real road! We got plastic eggs with treats inside! They were hidden in the grass!

Also, I got to meet mommy's baba and eat lemons and chocolate cake at his new house. I really like his new house- he has his own restaurant!

Daddy and mommy got me a new car seat- they said it's for when I grow just one more inch and it doesn't have as many buckles as the one I use now. I think I need to eat more so I can use it soon- I really like to sit in it. I feel taller! So, I'm trying to help them by eating as much as I can. My favorite breakfast is two pancakes, two eggs, and a big glass of orange juice... Daddy says I eat more than mommy. Whatever. Anyway, I had to help daddy use the tape measure and wanted to put it on my tool belt- the only problem was I only had my jammies. They worked fine for me!

Happy Spring everyone. Love you.

My dog

The best thing that has happened to me recently is the addition of our dog, Tiki. She is my new best friend and is now included on the list of things that get bedtime hugs and kisses as well as wake-up greetings in the morning. I am learning how to play nicely with her and that she really likes to chase dog bones up and down the hallways. I love to tell her that she stinks like a dog!

My First Day as a Blogger

I am deeply influenced by people. I love to repeat words, especially if they're funny and I love to imitate silly stuff. Therefore, because I love Noah so much, I am now a blogger. I want you all to know how I'm doing and what I'm up to. Check back often so you can keep up with my newest antics!

Cheesy!

I love Pasgetti!
